Renata started Keyfinder in 2009 with four rental houses in the Coronado district and a rule she has never broken: every owner gets a named manager who answers the phone. Seventeen years later the company manages 1,240 doors and she still signs off every new management agreement personally.

She holds the designated broker licence for the firm, which means the trust accounting, the fair housing training and the compliance calendar are her responsibility rather than a department's. She runs the fair housing refresher for the whole company twice a year and does not let anyone skip it.

Renata works mostly with portfolio owners now, the people holding six to forty doors who need a five year model rather than a monthly statement. If you want an honest answer about whether a property is worth keeping, she is the person to ask, and she will tell you when the answer is no.
